January 2011

On the evening of Thursday the 27th of January 2011 Primary 6/7  organised and ran  a Burns supper  for parents and invited guests as part of an enterprise project. The hall was decorated with lots of Scotland flags, table decorations and two massive portraits of Robert Burns.

The haggis was piped in by Thomas Young, before the guests enjoyed a delicious meal of haggis, neaps and tatties.

After the meal the p6/7 boys, did a toast to the lassies and the girls did a reply fae the lassies. Which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

As the guests enjoyed tea and shortbread in the primary 6/7 classroom the hall was cleared and then everyone was invited back into the hall for some scottish country dancing.

To finish off everyone got into a circle and sang "Auld Lang Syne."

It was a fantastic evening that everyone enjoyed.
